This holiday season, VCAD gave the gift of giving with an annual Toy Drive event. Vancouver and Calgary campuses combined, the college donated nearly 75 toys for children to unwrap at Christmastime.
In Vancouver, VCAD participated in the 32nd annual Pan Pacific Christmas Breakfast Wish at Canada Place on Tuesday, December 17. As one of the largest toy drives in Canada – donating thousands of toys, clothes, bikes, and cash to the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau – VCAD was proud to donate 42 toys to their cause. This exciting event aired on Global BC’s New Morning show from 6-9am, and volunteers from the Vancouver Police Department and Vancouver Fire Rescue assisted with handing out toys.
In Calgary, our team of dedicated staff and instructors encouraged students to donate unwrapped children’s toys to the Salvation Army Toy Angel’s drive. VCAD Calgary donated 31 toys to the 25th annual Toy Angels drive. Learn more about the Salvation Army Toy Angel’s drive here.
Happy holidays everyone! All the best for 2020.
