This project outlines the renovation & reworking of a young, working professional & their recently acquired condominium. This conceptualization entails updating the style and finishes to accommodate the clients more modern, minimalistic taste's, while also reworking the existing floorplan to suit his lifestyle & everyday usage. This includes strategies such as creating & re-allocating current closets, the addition of in-unit laundry, and maximizing the spaces light exposure by creating customized glass partition walls into the bedroom. The end result creates any working professionals dream space complete with updated finishes, a flexible floorplan, and an overall clean, inviting & contemporary ambiance.

The Content-Go Team is a small, Vancouver based Social Media & Networking firm handling primarily accounts and clients in the social/internet personality sector. Recently, the team acquired a large, vacant warehouse in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, with goals to create their dream office space for their current team, whilst leasing the space above. Their goal was to create a dynamic, flexible space to accommodate their growing team, along with their clientele. Ensuring the spaces, fixtures & finishes all flow cohesively and are on-trend/ timeless was a key element for them given their clientele. They also had outlined their to desire to utilize as many original character features as possible the space had to offer, such as the aged exposed masonry & brick, as well as the exposed ceilings and beams. This fused with their modern, dynamic styles and ideas would create their ideal creative space. The end result delivers all of that and more. The finished space created a open, flexible and dynamic space plan, playing with curvaceous walls, a fun juxtaposition to the buildings linear form. Carefully selected finishes, furnishing and lighting allowed the space to pop, creating a fun & visually stimulating space, while also being able to remain timeless. Carefult thought was placed into the quality of each fixture & finish, as well as ergonomics and overall aesthetics. The team could not be happier with their new space, and will continue to grow and thrive in it for years to come.

An empty lot in the Mature Neighborhood Royal Glenora District of Edmonton was recently acquired by a young, newlywed couple. The couple desires to create a duplex style home, where the plan to live in one side and lease out the other. They also plan for this to be a generational home, soon planning on creating their own family. The couple both enjoy art and gardening, one of their biggest desires being to create spaces in which they can do this together & separately. They also are incredibly eco-conscious, and have a strong desire to create a LEED scoring, passive home, utilizing a plethora of passive techniques, such as solar-skin roof tiles, geothermal heating and cooling, and even water harvesting to name a few. The finalized product created their dream home, featuring a modern, open floorplan with room for future family, as well as flexible spaces that could be re-distrusted and reallocated down the line need be. Passive technologies bring this home to a Gold LEED Score, utilizing technology such as the Clean-Flo Water Harvesting & Re-disturbing system, efficiency conscious appliances & plumbing fixtures, locally sources & LEED scored materials, solar-pipe skylights, and conscious planning of window & door placement to minimize the need of cooling during the summer month & have the home rely on natural light when possible to further reduce power usage. Other elements such as drought-resistant landscaping, LEED scored insulation, and solar-skin roof tiling were also utilized to create the most passive, eco-conscious home possible for this young couple. They could not be happier with their new forever home!
