Envisioned as a downtown focal point in the BC interior city of Castlegar, the Crux is designed to bring vibrancy back to the aging core. It will be a distinct modern building that will attract residences and feature a commercial level with micro-brewery, cafe and bouldering gym. The remainder of the building will address the lack of affordable housing with two lev...

Envisioned as a downtown focal point in the BC interior city of Castlegar, the Crux is designed to bring vibrancy back to the aging core. It will be a distinct modern building that will attract residences and feature a commercial level with micro-brewery, cafe and bouldering gym. The remainder of the building will address the lack of affordable housing with two levels of resident leases attached to a rooftop patio and garden. Opportunities for a pedestrian corridor will extend from the south-east of the building to Castlegar's main street Columbia Ave. and encourage participants to walk around the downtown hub.
