Landscape photography is a true passion of mine. I feel a deep connection to the natural world, and there's nothing quite like capturing its beauty through the lens of a camera. I don't rely heavily on post-processing or extensive edits in Lightroom. Instead, my approach is to subtly enhance the natural colours present in the scene. The goal is to create a final image that reflects the true essence and vibrancy of the landscape, as I experienced it in that moment. This minimalistic approach allows me to showcase the inherent beauty of our world, in its most authentic form.

In the Heitmann Rap Rebrand project, a comprehensive revamp of the artist's brand image was undertaken. This included a total redesign of his logo, providing him with not just one, but two distinct logo versions. This gave the artist flexibility in how he presents his brand across different platforms and mediums. Additionally, promotional materials for his shows were created, which included designing tickets and flyers. Each piece was carefully crafted to reflect the unique style and personality of the artist. One of the most exciting aspects of this project was the creation of an album cover. But it didn't stop there – the album cover design was then repurposed and used to create a tumbler cup, adding a physical dimension to the branding. To further enhance the physical element of the branding, product photography was done with the tumbler cup. This allowed us to showcase the design in a real-world context and added depth to our digital and physical design portfolio.

For the Nutty Butters packaging project, an adorable peanut mascot was created to give the brand a friendly and approachable identity. The mascot was designed with great care to be visually appealing and instantly recognizable, helping to differentiate Nutty Butters in a crowded market. In line with Nutty Butters' commitment to the environment, the packaging was designed to be as eco-friendly as possible. This meant using sustainable materials and minimizing waste, without compromising on the visual appeal or protective properties of the packaging. The result is a package that not only looks good, but does good too, reflecting the brand's values and resonating with environmentally-conscious consumers.

For the CPKC 41st Charity Hockey Tournament in Vancouver, I was commissioned to create a logo. Balancing the distinctive elements of a hockey team and the existing CPKC logo was a key consideration during the design process. The decision to incorporate a hockey puck into the design was integral in maintaining the spirit of the sport. At the same time, retaining the core elements of the CPKC logo was important to ensure continuity with the brand's identity. The final design was both simple and easily recognizable, ensuring that it could be easily spotted and identified. This successful blend of hockey-themed elements and the CPKC logo resulted in a unique design that truly represented the 41st Charity Hockey Tournament.

Creating advertisements is another area I deeply enjoy. This form of artistry allows me to blend my skills in design with my passion for photography and artwork. I take immense pleasure in the entire process - from conceptualizing the advertisement, executing the photoshoot, to the final touch-ups in post-processing. My original photographs and artwork play a crucial role in this process. They add a unique, personal touch to the advertisements that is distinctly 'me'. This not only allows me to showcase my artistic range, but also ensures that each advertisement I create stands out from the crowd, capturing the viewer's attention and leaving a lasting impression. The thrill of seeing my vision translate into a tangible advertisement that resonates with its target audience is indescribable. Whether it's a print ad, a social media campaign, or an entire billboard, each project is a new adventure that fuels my creativity and passion for this work.

One of the aspects of graphic design I truly relish is working on magazine projects. The diverse layout possibilities, the interplay of text and images, and the opportunity to create a visual narrative through design are incredibly satisfying. Every magazine project is a blank canvas with limitless potential. I take immense pleasure in experimenting with different layout ideas, from traditional multi-column formats to more dynamic, asymmetrical designs. The choice of layout can dramatically influence the flow and feel of the magazine, making it a critical aspect of the overall design. I am particularly fond of layouts that challenge the conventional norms of design, using negative space, unconventional typography, and unexpected alignments to create visually striking and memorable pages. However, I also appreciate the beauty and clarity of traditional layouts, especially for more text-heavy content. Incorporating mockups into the design process is a key part of my workflow. Mockups allow me to visualize the final product more accurately and make adjustments as needed. They also provide a tangible representation of my ideas that can be shared and discussed with clients or team members. Working on magazine projects allows me to flex my creativity and problem-solving skills. Whether it's designing an eye-catching cover or creating a cohesive layout for an entire issue, each project brings new challenges and opportunities for growth as a designer.

I love creating digital art, using graphic tablets and software as my canvas. My work is characterized by vibrant colours and intricate details, adding depth to my pieces. I experiment with themes, techniques, and styles, from abstract to realistic. The versatility of digital art allows me to manipulate shapes, textures, gradients, and colours. The ability to undo and redo offers a learning experience free of fear of ruining my work. I take pride in my original artwork, each piece reflecting my thoughts and interpretation of the world. By sharing my work, I aim to inspire others and contribute to the diverse world of digital artistry.
