Snapshots capture moments, events or places in the blink of an eye, a tiny fragment of time imprinted on a film or the digital memory of a camera or smartphone. These photos are not planned or staged, they are created by a spontaneous or spur of the moment decision, the right place, right time, and right conditions coming together to create a specific image. On the following pages are some of my favourite snapshots. I find that these images are my best work, as they capture a certain something which cannot be created within the confines of a planned photo shoot. These fragments illustrate that even a life that is simple and ordinary can contain moments that sparkle and flash like a hummingbird in the sun.
