Over the course of the Game Development and Design program at the Visual College of Art and Design, I have learned a variety of skills and gained a new insight into the industry of film and video game creation. This demo reel is the culmination of nearly 2 years of hard work and determination, with a major focus on animation as the center piece. Please enjoy, and thank you to everyone who has helped me on this journey.

Over the course of several weeks, Daniel had been hard at work creating projects for a portfolio / demo reel by the time that graduation came around. This is the first of two animations. Using techniques from the program at VCAD, this brought to life a project that involved the use of advanced maya lighting techniques and animation workflows while going off of reference, making sure that the storytelling was clear during the process.

The focus for this animation was to bring to life an idea from a simple prompt. Daniel took it one step further and had focused more on the storytelling aspect of the assignment, as well as pushing the limits of animating without a reference to go off of.
