Social
ImpactAt VCAD, social responsibility is part of our DNA. Our mission and goal are to support our students and the communities in which they live through charitable donations, scholarships, and community partnerships.
VCAD participates in a number of charitable events each year, including Pink Shirt Day and annual toy drives, in addition to maintaining a strong community presence with many sustainable initiatives, voluntary projects, and fashion showcases.
In February 2022, VCAD Calgary staff and students partnered with Youth HQ through a Candy Gram event to aid them in raising funds for their programs, as well as fund scholarships for youth in the community.
In September 2021, in honour of Orange Shirt Day, VCAD launched a creative fundraiser to raise money for residential school survivors.
In March 2020, VCAD raised funds and awareness for Pink Shirt Day at its campuses in Vancouver and Calgary. Collectively raising $220 for the CKNW Kids’ Fund, VCAD supports anti-bullying programs across the country, including KidsSafe Project, I Am Someone End Bullying Society, and the Boys and Girls Club of Western Canada.
